Since 2016, SDC is operating a FSM plant and managing fecal sludge. In this activity, there is a tri-party agreement amomng SDC, Practical Action and Faridpur Municipality where SDC is a operator of the plant, Faridpur Municipality is the owner of the land and PA is technical advisor. Up to October 2023, SDC has treated more than 10000 cubic meter faecal sludge and got about 50 MT dried sludge. Out of the 50 MT dried sludge, SDC used more than 40MT for producing bio-fertilizer.
