Fecal Sludge Sampling Manual describes the techniques, tools, and precautions for sampling FS in the form of liquid from different sanitation containment/fecal sludge treatment systems. This manual can also be used for sampling wastewaters from DEWATS (decentralized wastewater treatment systems), STPs (sewage treatment plants), and outlet of drains or sewerage systems. But, sampling of treated/partially treated/untreated solid sludge from different fecal sludge treatment or dewatering systems does not cover under the purview of this manual.
