Background & Purpose

ICWFM, organized biennially by the Institute of Water and Flood Management (IWFM) at BUET since 2007, brings together experts from various disciplines to address pressing water and flood management challenges. The tenth edition, ICWFM-2025, will focus on the role of water and ecosystem conservation in building climate resilience.This conference will explore integrated approaches to mitigating climate change impacts through conservation and restoration of water and ecosystems. Key topics include:
✅ Afforestation and reforestation (including mangroves)
✅ Restoring wetlands and river-floodplain connectivity
✅ Sustainable agricultural practices
✅ Enhancing biodiversity and human well-being
